Born and raised right here in Navarre, I have seen this little community grow bigger than I ever expected! I remember what a big deal it was for Navarre to even get a high school, but was fortunate enough to be a part of the first graduating class (Class of 2000)!! Go Raiders!!! My educational experience in Navarre has been a wonderful and impacting journey, and having the opportunity to play for the NHS Lady Raiders volleyball team throughout high school, as well as a little bit of soccer, has made it that much sweeter. Looking way back to elementary at the original Holley-Navarre school, it's hard to believe that we now have 4 elementary schools. Nonetheless, I feel privileged to be a part of an incredible growing community with some of the finest schools in the entire state! In December of 2000, I married Mr. Long, one of the best teachers around if you ask me. :)We have five amazing children (Isaac, Caleb, Kylie, Elijah, & Noah), whom we are extremely proud of, and one cute little dog (Lu Lu) ! I love spending time with my family, reading, still playing some volleyball, running, watching my older 3 children play soccer, playing with fire trucks with Elijah, watching Noah smile and grow, and drinking coffee!!!
After spending some years raising the kiddos as a stay at home mom and student, in 2012 I graduated with honors from the University of West Florida, with a bachelors' degree in Elementary Education (w/ ESOL and Reading Endorsement). What a joy it is to now be a part of an incredible team at WNIS! I love teaching and find it truly rewarding every day!
